At GO International, we don’t just sell balloons and party products — we build the businesses behind them.
Founded in 1985 by George Oustayiannis, GO International has grown from a one-bedroom flat above a chip shop in Stevenage into the UK’s leading specialist balloon and party wholesaler, representing more than 65 global manufacturers and supplying professionals across the UK and Europe.

From day one, our goal has never changed: to help you succeed. Every product we stock, every course we host, and every piece of advice we give is driven by that single purpose.

Our Story

When George started GO International, the UK balloon industry was virtually non-existent. Pioneer (Qualatex) worked from a small garage in North London, and Anagram operated from a modest unit just down the road.

Seeing potential where others saw novelty, George began importing innovative products from trade shows across the US and Asia, laying the groundwork for what would become a multi-million-pound industry.

GO International soon became one of the first companies in Britain to offer professional balloon training, teaching decorators how to turn creativity into profit — a mission that continues today through The Balloon Academy, the UK’s most comprehensive training platform for balloon and business education.

Industry Leadership

George’s commitment to raising standards led him to serve as Chairman of NABAS (The National Association of Balloon Artists and Suppliers) for seven years. Under his leadership, NABAS rebuilt its membership base, strengthened safety practices, and became Europe’s most respected industry body.

He is also a government-approved business mentor, an ILM-certified Executive Coach, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Hertfordshire Business School, helping shape the next generation of ethical entrepreneurs.
